While discussing x64 Windows with Stephen Brooks , we began poking around the code sizes on his end (xp 32-bit pro & 98SE) & my end (2003 64-bit server).

Brooks explained to me that the 64-bit compiling adds some bytes to different instructions, making the code grow at least 20%; we were seeing 27 & up.
